Blueberry Oatmeal

Blueberry Oatmeal

Oatmeal is not only nutritious but also very easy to make. In certain cultures, it also serves as a metaphor for reproduction and fertility. By achieving a balance between testosterone and oestrogen, oats can boost libido. An alkaloid found in oats is thought to increase vitality, particularly in men.  Nitric oxide, which is generated in the blood during arousal, and boron, which may control hormone levels, are both included in honey.   Add some blueberries with antioxidant properties and you have a breakfast fit for Aphrodite.

Ingredients

• 1⅓cups water

• ⅛teaspoon salt (optional)

• ¼teaspoon cinnamon

• 2teaspoons mild honey

• ⅔cup rolled oats or oatmeal

• ⅓cup blueberries

• ½teaspoon finely chopped or

grated orange zest

• ½cup low-fat milk, soy milk,

almond beverage or rice beverage

 Instructions

In a medium-sized saucepan, bring the water to a boil.  Add Oatmeal, honey,

cinnamon, and salt.  Once the water has mostly been absorbed, turn the heat down and simmer the dish uncovered for five minutes.

Add the milk (or alternate beverage), blueberries, and orange zest.

Cook it for a further five minutes, or until the oatmeal is creamy and thick and the blueberries have started to pop.

Let the oatmeal cool for a few minutes, drizzle with honey and serve.
